Dingdong Dantes had a simple wish to mark his 44th birthday celebration, and it's to have a peaceful bonding moment with his whole family.

In an Instagram post, the actor expressed his gratitude to his wife Marian Rivera for fulfilling his wish as he shared a series of pictures of their quiet breakfast with their kids Zia and Sixto. One photo showed him blowing out his cake with his loved ones beside him.

"She asked me what I wanted for today, and I just requested this quiet breakfast with them—something I haven’t been able to do the past few weeks because of continuous work," Dantes wrote.

"And yeah, it was just how I imagined it to be: calm, serene, and full of love. Thank you, my wife and kids, for the perfect start to Agosto Dos," he added.

Dantes also celebrated his special day with the rest of his nearest and dearest, as seen in a separate post on his account.

Apart from his family, a few of his closest friends in the showbiz industry also made sure to send their greetings and well-wishes to him.

"The most grounded superstar, my kumpare and dear brother Dingdong, enjoy your successes and all the perks that come with it! You are blessed because you are a blessing to all you meet. Happy Birthday my dearest Kumpare!" Kim Atienza wrote on Instagram, accompanying his post with some throwback pictures of him and Dantes.

Fellow actor Wendell Ramos similarly posted a picture of him and Dantes together with the greeting, "Cheers to another great year and life! More blessings tol Dingdong. Happy birthday!"

Dantes currently serves as the host of the Philippine version of the hit game show Family Feud. He also recently appeared in the films Rewind and Firefly, which were part of the 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival.

He tied the knot with Rivera in 2014 and welcomed Zia a year later and Sixto in 2019.
