LE SSERAFIM’s Kim Chaewon halts activities to recover from influenza
LE SSERAFIM member Kim Chaewon will halt her scheduled activities to focus on her recovery from Type A Influenza.
The agency posted its update regarding the K-pop star's health on WeVerse on Monday, Oct. 16.
“Kim Chaewon has been in the process of recovering from Type A Influenza. However, persistent dizziness prompted her to make an additional hospital visit on Friday, October 13, during which she received medical advice to take a period of rest,” the agency said, as reported. by Korean entertainment outlet Soompi.
“As a result, we have determined that her priority should be on her recovery. Consequently, Kim Chaewon will not be participating in all activities temporarily, including the pre-recording of 'NPOP' that was scheduled for today,” the statement said.
Because of this, LE SSERAFIM will temporarily do activities as a four-member group until Chaewon recovers to her full health. They also assured fans that they would be making an announcement once her hiatus had ended.
Kim Chaewon was first announced to be infected with influenza when the group canceled their "Flame Rises" concert in Bangkok last Oct. 7 and 8. She and two other members—Huh Yunjin and Kazuha—were hospitalized and diagnosed with the disease.
The group is set to release their first English-language single, Perfect Night, on October 27.
