BLACKPINK's Rosé is finally making her much-awaited solo comeback!

The K-pop idol announced late Tuesday, Oct. 1 that she's making a solo comeback with her first-ever studio album dubbed rosie, which will be released on Dec. 6.

“I cannot believe I am finally announcing my first album release to you all,” Rosé wrote in her Instagram post.

She shared that after their Born Pink world tour, she had studio sessions in Los Angeles, “writing songs with songwriters and producers I’d met for the first time, trying to figure out the next chapter in my career.”

She opened up about getting “confused and lost” in the process, but noted she could only turn out grateful for her friends, family, and fans who helped her finish her first album.

“I have poured my blood and tears into this album. I cannot wait for you to listen to this little journal of mine. Rosie - is the name I allow my friends and family to call me. With this album, I hope you all feel that much closer to me,” the K-pop idol continued.

Billboard reported that rosie will have 12 tracks, and that it's going to be Rosé’s “most personal and candid” project yet. Fans can now pre-order the album on her official website

This would mark her first solo comeback since 2021 after the release of R for her solo debut, which only included two tracks: On the Ground and Gone.

After joining THEBLACKLABEL in June for her solo projects, Rosé recently signed with Atlantic Records to make waves in the global music scene. The American label manages beloved pop artists such as Bruno Mars, Charli XCX, Lizzo, Coldplay, and more.
