Big Hit Music shares enlistment plans for BTS' RM, V, Jimin, and Jung Kook
BTS’ RM, V, Jimin, and Jung Kook will soon be enlisting in the military.
On Tuesday, Dec. 5, their agency BigHit Music posted a statement on the social media platform Weverse, baring the enlistment plans for four BTS members.
“RM and V will be enlisting according to their respective procedures, while Jimin and Jungkook are scheduled to enlist together. Please note that there will be no official event on the day of their entry,” they wrote, also noting that the four will serve the required time in the military.
The entrance ceremony will be attended by the members’ families only. Without disclosing the official dates of enlistment, the agency still asked the fans to refrain from visiting the site as part of the safety procedures.
“Please convey your warm regards and encouragement in your hearts only,” they wrote.
The agency also warned fans against purchasing unauthorized tours or product packages that illegally use the artists’ intellectual property, stressing that they will take action should there be attempts to do such for commercial purposes.
“We ask for your continued love and support for RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook until they complete their military service and return. Our company will also strive to provide all the support they need during this time,” they concluded.
BTS is one of the biggest K-pop groups in the industry for dominating music charts, selling out albums and live shows, and garnering a massive fanbase known as ARMY. Some of their hit songs include Dynamite, Butter, and RUN, among others.
Before this announcement, three of BTS' members Jin, J-Hope, and Suga had already enlisted in the military. They are set to make a full-group comeback in 2025.
