From beauty queen to actress, Celeste Cortesi is now embarking on a new role as an entrepreneur after launching her lip-care brand, Azul.

On Instagram, the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 titleholder said Azul was her dream two years ago, right after competing in the international pageant. It became a reality as she launched it on Oct. 10 at  Manila House in Bonifacio Global City.

"[Two] years ago, Asul was just an idea, [two] years later, it became reality," she wrote in the caption.

Celeste added, "Just wanna thank the team of Asul for believing in my vision."

In an interview with entertainment outlet PEP.ph, Celeste revealed that she named her first business venture, Azul, as she played with different languages like Filipino and Spanish.

"Azul because 'Celeste' means 'Asul'... And, of course, 'Azul' in Spanish and Tagalog means 'Celeste.' That's why it really represents me one hundred percent," she said.

The 26-year-old beauty also implied that Azul is her way to help people boost their confidence without breaking the bank.

"I've always been so obsessed with my lips and lip care in general. So I really wanted to create something that will help people feel confident when they're wearing it. And also, you know, something that is very premium, very affordable, at the same time," she told PEP.ph

Where to buy?

As of now, Azul offers a hydrating lip plumper—a lip care product that provides "immediate fullness and lasting hydration," giving lips a plumper and more youthful appearance.

According to the brand's social media accounts, this lip plumper contains sunflower oil, which gives lips a radiant and healthy glow; jojoba oil, which keeps the lips smooth and supple; shea butter with vitamins A and E to reduce fines; and peptides, which can improve elasticity for a "more youthful and voluminous look."

It also has a menthol effect while boosting the lip fullness.

Interested make-up and skin care enthusiasts can buy the product for only P399 at Shopee, TikTok Shop, and Lazada.

Celeste represented the Philippines at the Miss Universe 2022 pageant on Jan. 15 in New Orleans, USA, but she failed to make it to the finals.

She also represented the country at the Miss Earth 2018 pageant, where she finished in the Top 8. Currently, she is part of the Sparkle GMA Artist Center.
