Court finds Min Hee Jin guilty of workplace harassment against former ADOR employee—reports
Min Hee Jin has been found guilty of workplace harassment against a former ADOR employee by the Seoul Western District Court, upholding a previous ruling from the Seoul Labor Office.
K-media outlets, including Sportskeeda and AllKpop, reported that the court confirmed her actions caused the former staff member psychological distress.
In 2024, the ex-ADOR employee, referred to as "A," filed a complaint with the Seoul Labor Office for Min's alleged verbal abuse and workplace treatment, which had caused the employee to suffer from psychological distress.
Min's team appealed the order and took the case to the civil court, but the court upheld the labor office's ruling, in favor of the employee, as well as her fine of five million Korean won (around P200,000), which was ordered last March.
In July, Min was cleared of occupational breach of trust charges filed by HYBE, with the Yongsan Police Station concluding that there is “no suspicion of a crime.”
Legal battle
In April 2024, HYBE filed a complaint against Min, accusing her of trying to take over ADOR to become independent from the parent company, which the latter denied. In the same month, Min also released a lengthy statement, slamming HYBE for allowing Belift Lab's ILLIT to allegedly "copy" K-pop girl group NewJeans.
In September of the same year, NewJeans broke their silence on the issue for the first time via a surprise live broadcast on their YouTube channel, where they demanded for reinstatement of Min as CEO.
A month later, Soompi reported that the court had denied Min’s request for an injunction for her reappointment as ADOR CEO, saying her claims “did not meet the legal requirements to constitute grounds for an injunction.”
Min later resigned as an internal director of ADOR in November 2024, officially leaving parent agency HYBE.
