Actress and philanthropist Angelina Jolie recently turned heads online when she was spotted out and about in an undisclosed market.

With the bright fluorescent lights, phones in glass displays, and overall setting, Filipinos were quick to quip that Jolie was wandering San Juan's Greenhills Mall or even Binondo's Divisoria commercial center.

So, where was Jolie? Turns out, the actress was in Cambodia's capital, Phnom Penh. The city is known to be a bustling hub of restaurants, markets, and bars catering to tourists and citizens alike.

The Greenhills-esque photo in question is from one Cambodian shopkeeper named Viriya Hangchuona, who shared the fateful meeting with the star.

"[Met] one great actress in Hollywood. Such an honor as a Cambodia fan to meet her in person," Viriya wrote.

A number of other Cambodians have also gushed about seeing Jolie around the area, with the restaurant Gourmet Kitchen also sharing a snap with the masked actress. The Meditteranean-style restaurant is also based in Phnom Penh.

"Thank you for visiting us Angelina Jolie! Welcome to Cambodia!" they shared.

Meanwhile, Jolie is in Cambodia to speak with leaders to push her advocacy of environmental conservation.

"A few days in Cambodia among the warm local people, and I feel my soul is recovering. This has always been a special country for me and our family," the actress shared on Instagram.

"Happy to be reunited with friends and colleagues at MJP Foundation in Samlot district. The entirely local team runs programs for health and education and conservation. I spent some time with forest rangers discussing land encroachment, poaching and mapping patrol routes"

On Feb. 24, she also spoke with the Minister of the Ministry of Environment, Say Samal, regarding protecting and conserving the country's natural resources.

Cambodia has always been close to Jolie's heart, as she adopted her eldest son with Brad Pitt, Maddox Chivan Jolie-Pitt, from a Cambodian orphanage in 2002.
