It looks like Liza Soberano is quickly building a close friendship with her Lisa Frankenstein co-stars Cole Sprouse and Kathryn Newton.

The actress was seen striking a wide smile in a group picture shared by Kathryn on her Twitter account, along with Cole, the film's producer Mason Novick, and director Zelda Williams.

"Finally got these creatures to take a selfie [with me]. I wish you could see what we are up to," Kathryn wrote in her caption.

Liza had also earlier bonded with Kathryn, as shown in an Instagram post by the American actress where the two of them shared a mirror selfie while wearing bathrobes and sunglasses.

"Lisa not Liza aka Kathryn and it’s Liza not Lisa aka Taffy," Kathryn wrote, pointing out the characters they were playing in the film.

Lisa Frankenstein is an upcoming horror comedy film that Liza is set to star in. According to Focus Features, the plot is set in 1989 and follows an unpopular high school girl who accidentally brings to life a handsome Victorian corpse during a lightning storm. She then attempts to refashion him into the man of her dreams.

The film will serve as Liza's Hollywood debut. Before this, she had long expressed her desire to pursue an acting career in America because she wanted to inspire a younger generation of actors who also want to make a career in Hollywood.

In detailing how she got the role in Lisa Frankenstein, Liza said in an interview with ABS-CBN that she had met the film's director during her trips in various entertainment spots and she was encouraged to audition for a role. Her agent told her that her audition was successful and since then, Liza has been busy shooting her scenes in New Orleans.

"I’m really happy that a lot of people know that I’m working on a project now. My fans have been waiting for the longest time since 2020 for me to go back into acting. I’m happy that finally they have something to look forward to," Liza said.
