Billy Crawford has slammed accusations that he is addicted to using drugs.

The TV host opened up about the negative remarks he's been seeing on social media about the changes in his body after some netizens accused him of drug addiction due to his noticeably slim physique.

"Ang daming nagsasabi na 'adik' or whatever," Billy said in an interview with entertainment portal PEP.ph. "Una sa lahat, it’s unfair para sabihin sa isang tao kung sino sila. Una sa lahat, I don’t do drugs."

He also stressed that he has been sober for several years now. "I stopped alcohol for the past six years," Billy told the entertainment site. "I started to lose weight from that time. Tumigil talaga akong mag-alchohol at tuloy-tuloy lang siya, hindi na ako bumalik sa alcohol. As in, zero alcohol."

The former It's Showtime host has been vocal about suffering from alcohol addiction in the past, when he would spend nights alone just downing a bottle of whiskey.

This eventually took a toll on his health to the point that his weight reached 235 pounds. His wife, actress Coleen Garcia also admitted that their relationship "went through so many lows" because of his uncontrollable drinking.

Billy noted that he does not smoke nor practice any other vices now, adding that he's "super, super healthy."

"Actually, paulit-ulit—paulit-ulit akong nagpapaliwanag kasi sobrang dami ng nagsasalita on my behalf. [N]gayon, I’m super, super healthy. I couldn’t ask for more. Siguro kung alcoholic pa ako, baka patay na ako," he said.
