EXO's Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin take legal action vs agency to suspend contract

EXO's Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin have asked the court to suspend their exclusive contracts with their agency, INB100.

According to reports by local outlets The Korea Herald and Korea JoongAng Daily, the trio, also known as the EXO-CBX sub-unit, has filed an injunction against INB100 to suspend their exclusive contracts amid the financial dispute. A district court in Seoul held a hearing on Monday. More details have yet to be unveiled.

The filing came a few months after the trio informed its parent agency, One Hundred Label, in April of their intention to terminate their exclusive contracts, citing issues including unpaid settlement funds.

One Hundred Label's CEO Cha Ga-won was indicted and placed in police custody in April over fraud charges involving 30 billion won ($22.1 million or ~P1.2 billion).

Per Korea JoongAng Daily, prosecutors allege that Cha proposed a business using her agency’s artists’ intellectual property to Knowmerce, signed a contract, and received 24.2 billion won (about P930 million) upfront but failed to complete the project. Police believe she did not disclose an existing contract with another company, signed a duplicate deal, and was unable to carry out the project. She has since denied the allegations.

The first hearing for her case is set for Oct. 13.

Before CBX, several K-pop stars like Taemin, groups The Boyz and Viviz, and Lee Seung-gi have moved to terminate their contracts with the agency and its subsidiary Big Planet Made, also citing unpaid settlement funds as their reason.

Cha co-founded One Hundred Label with singer MC Mong in 2023. She has since taken over the company alone after her falling out with MC Mong in July 2025.

Baekhyun founded INB100 in 2023, with his two bandmates joining the agency in January 2024. Just months later, INB100 was absorbed into One Hundred Label.
