Kourtney Kardashian recalled going through five failed in vitro fertilization cycles and three retrievals before getting pregnant with her son, Rocky Thirteen, with her husband, musician Travis Barker.

On her Instagram page, the 45-year-old socialite had a question-and-answer segment with her fans and replied to a follower who asked her about her journey with IVF.

"Had 6 failed IVFs—how did you find the strength to keep going? It's debilitating," the IG user asked.

To which, the reality star said she stopped after a year of trying to make her body relax. She later learned to believe in what God has in store for her.

"I stopped after a year of trying (5 failed IVF cycles, 3 retrievals) [to make] my body relaxed and I believed in God's plan for my life. Lots of prayers for whatever was meant to be for us. Also lots of optimizing my health," she said.

"I know how hard it is to feel like you're not trying, but believing in God's plan and saying your prayers is so powerful. All the best!" she continued.

Kourtney and Travis welcomed Rocky, their first son, in November 2023 at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Two months prior, she revealed she underwent "urgent fetal surgery." While the The Kardashians star didn't detail what happened, she expressed how scared yet grateful she was that she and their son were able to get through it.

"As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn't prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery. I don't think anyone who hasn't been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear," she wrote in an Instagram post in September.

"I have a whole new understanding and respect for the mamas who have had to fight for their babies while pregnant," she added.

Kourtney announced about her pregnancy, during Blink-182's Los Angeles concert in June last year, where she held a large sign that read: "Travis I'm Pregnant."

Kourtney and Travis got married in 2022. They first tied the knot in April that year in Las Vegas and then in an intimate wedding in Santa Barbara, California a month later. They exchanged "I dos" anew in a lavish ceremony in Portofino, Italy in May of the same year.

Kourtney is also a mom to three children: Mason Dash, Penelope Scotland, and Reign Aston, whom she shares with ex-Scott Disick.

Travis also has three kids—Alabama Luella, Landon, and Atiana De La Hoya—with his ex-wife Shanna Moakler.
