EXO’s D.O. drops second mini-album ‘Expectation’

Expect to fall in love with D.O. over and over again, EXO-Ls! K-pop group EXO's "King of Vocal" has dropped his new mini-album, Expectation, this afternoon, Sept. 18.

The launch comes with the debut of the music video of his song Someday, which serves as the title track of D.O.'s new mini-album. The soothing and groovy track was released by EXO's record label, SM Entertainment, on YouTube and announced on social media.

With the music video, the South Korean singer-actor showed his acting prowess once again as he portrayed an easygoing videographer who falls in love with a certain talent played by actress Lee Jae In. Throughout the video, D.O. imagines pursuing the girl in sweet but subtle ways and how this could develop into an actual relationship. 

The lyrics, meanwhile, tells the story of somebody anticipating the time he would meet somebody who will accept him for who he is.

First announced on Aug. 31, D.O.'s Expectation mini-album contains a total of seven songs, namely Somebody, Wonder, I Do, Lost, Ordinary Days, The View, and Lost (Acoustic Ver.).

An animation video for his song I Do also premiered a week prior to the album’s release featuring lyrics that embodied a thrilling appreciation for romance.  

The digital booklet which includes his exclusive handwritten messages is now available on iTunes for fans to purchase. 

Expectation is D.O.’s solo comeback in two years following the release of his first mini-album Empathy in 2021. Most recently, the idol-actor starred in the hit sci-fi film The Moon.
