WATCH: Gwyneth Paltrow makes classic Filipino breakfast tortang talong
It seems like Gwyneth Paltrow knows a thing or two about Filipino cuisine!
On Oct. 17, the American actress shared her latest "#boyfriendbreakfast" video on Instagram, and it featured the classic Pinoy dish tortang talong.
The Reel showed Gwyneth cooking the entire dish by herself to the tune of rock band Yo La Tengo's Autumn Sweater.
She's seen grilling the eggplant on her stovetop, peeling it, sautéing some minced meat, and cooking everything in eggs.

In addition, she paired her dish with some garlicky turkey crumbles and banana ketchup, which she made from scratch with onions, garlic, ginger, banana, and vinegar.
Her latest #boyfriendbreakfast caught the attention of Filipinos on social media, with the likes of Erwan Heussaff, Filipino-Canadian content creator Nurse John, Isabelle Daza, and Bela Padilla commenting on her post.
"Thank you for not calling it an Eggplant Omelette," Erwan wrote.
"We need to cook tortang talong together!" Nurse John said.
TV host Gelli Victor even suggested dishes Gwyneth should also try: "Kare-kare, sinigang, tinola, binakol, kansi up next!"
Apart from tortang talong, Gwyneth has made sweet potato rosti waffle, huevos rotos, Vietnamese-style steak and eggs, and congee.
Her #boyfriendbreakfast series began as a sweet tradition with her husband, Brad Falchuk.
"When we were dating, we started this tradition of me cooking him breakfast every Saturday morning," she told Vogue in 2022. "I would come up with all of these really creative breakfasts. It was something I put time into every week planning. I called them boyfriend breakfasts."
The couple met on the set of Glee, where Gwyneth was a guest star in 2010. They got together years later in 2015 and got engaged in 2017. Eventually, they tied the knot in 2018.
