Chie Filomeno to Dawn Chang after seemingly alluding to her in blind item: 'Your mouth is full of lies'
Chie Filomeno called out Dawn Chang on social media after the latter seemingly alluded to her as she talked about a co-celebrity she has had a conflict with.
Chang served as a guest for the online talk show The Men's Room back in October. During the discussion, she was asked by hosts Stanley Chi and Anjo Yllana on whether she's had an issue with a fellow celebrity in the past.
"Wala, mayroon ba akong nakaaway?" Chang wondered before quickly remembering one incident. "Ang tagal na nun eh, isa lang naman. Tsaka hindi ako 'yung nang-away, siya 'yung nang-away sa'kin."
While Chang opted not to identify the celebrity as she has "moved on" from the incident, Chi gave a hint that it was someone who had the same initials as "Cristy Fermin."
Chang laughed as she said, "Oo nga. Alam mo, may curse 'yang initials na 'yan sa'kin. Hindi ako nangangaway ng tao, pero pinagtatanggol ko 'yung sarili ko. Let's just put it that way."
Chang, who is a former member of the all-female dance group GirlTrends, then detailed what caused their rift. "Nagrerehearse kami, inagawan ako ng position [sa sayaw]. Ewan ko, may galit siya."
"Tapos nagpa-interview siya tapos sinabi niya ako raw 'yung [nakaaway] niya. Sabi ko, 'Huh? Hindi naman ako 'yung kaaway mo. 'Di ba 'yung isa? 'Di ba 'yun 'yung sinabunutan mo, hindi naman ako?" she added.
The issue has gotten renewed attention online after a meme page tagged Filomeno in a tweet containing screenshots from Chang's interview.
Filomeno, who is also a previous GirlTrends member, mentioned Chang in an X post and denied the latter's claims against her.
"Oh bakit nahiya ka pa pangalanan ako Dawn Chang? About the rehearsal, that never happened. At alam ng prod sa Showtime 'yun. Actually, 'yung staff sa Showtime nagsabi sa akin about this kanina at nagulat din sila. Your mouth is full of lies talaga 'no?" Filomeno wrote.
"Sige nga, bakit ko muna hinila yung buhok? Balik ko sa’yo sinabi mo, 'Pinagtanggol ko lang sarili ko ah,'" she added.

In a separate post, the actress said everyone has "moved on" from their issue.
