Local celebrities and personalities flew to Singapore for the Formula One Singapore Grand Prix 2023 from Sept. 15 to 17.

It seems that F1 has moved beyond the track. While racing drivers like Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing and Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes are stars in their own right, the international sports event has also been able to bring some big names in politics and the entertainment industry into the scene.

Aside from Hollywood stars like Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan, familiar faces in the Philippines were also spotted in the audience gallery during last weekend's race. Here are some of them.

In a Facebook post, President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. revealed that he watched the F1 Grand Prix along with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Deputy PM Lawrence Wong after their "promising discussions" on Singapore's ties with the Philippines. "Our countries can expect enhanced collaboration on multiple fronts to address common global challenges," he wrote.

The President and his family also watched the F1 race last year.

The Can’t Buy Me Love star shared her excitement on Instagram as she posted a video set to the song Smooth Operator, which has been associated with Scuderia Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz.

An F1 enthusiast since the age of seven, Macoy also reminisced about watching races with his father and playing F1 video games in his yesteryears.

"What an experience! One for the books," he wrote on Instagram.

Aubrey Miles and Troy Montero were also able to turn their dream of watching an F1 race into a reality.

Aside from going on a paddock walk and watching pitstop practices from teams like Ferrari, Aston Martin, and Williams Racing, they also caught a glimpse of Max Verstappen's RB19 racecar.

"The exhilarating feeling when you’re actually here. Nothing beats seeing all the F1 cars in person!" Aubrey wrote in an IG post.
