Jillian Ward has spoken up about the rumors linking her to former Ilocos Sur governor Chavit Singson, as well as the allegations that she has a sugar daddy.

In the Oct. 21 episode of Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, the actress stressed that none of the speculations are true.

"Never ko po siyang nakilala. Never ko po siyang na-meet. Never ko siyang nakausap. Never po kaming nagkita," Ward, 20, said of Singson, 84, amid the online talk that she and the businessman have a secret relationship.

In a press interview earlier last week, Singson also dismissed the rumors as simple gossip: "Marites lang 'yun," he told members of the media.

Ward also denied the allegation that Singson helped pay for her lavish 18th birthday party in 2023, which was held in Okada Manila Resort and Casino. She said the event was sponsored partly by GMA Network, and the rest, she paid for with her own money.

The actress took the opportunity to also address the allegations that she is a "sugar baby" and has a benefactor.

Such chatter began, Ward said, during the pandemic.

One of the things that social media users wondered about was how, at 16 then, she could buy herself a Porsche Boxster. Depending on the specific model and features, a Boxster would have had a price range of P2.6 million to P5.3 million. Porsche has since discontinued this specific model.

Ward clarified she bought the car second-hand at P1.2 million with the money she earned from a skin care endorsement deal.

She went on to say that she can provide receipts for all her investments.

Initially wanting to dismiss the rumors, Ward said she decided to speak up to protect her family, especially her mother, who was getting dragged into the issues.

"I'm so offended for my mother, especially kasi she did not raise me that way," Ward tearfully said.

With support from GMA, the Sparkle actress shared she was contemplating legal action and may go after the rumor mongers with charges of cyber libel.

She also said the interview with Abunda would be the first and last time she would talk about the rumors and allegations.
