Son Ye-jin, Hyun Bin reveal baby's gender and due date

South Korean actress Son Ye-jin, who is known for her role in Crash Landing on You, is having a baby boy!

A report by SPOTV News on October 27 confirmed the gender of Son Ye-jin's first child with her husband Hyun Bin. 

Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin have now revealed that they are having a son and that they are being showered with support from their family members and acquaintances. They are set to welcome him sometime in December this year.

Son Ye-jin's agency also officially announced the good news, reassuring fans that "Son Ye Jin is currently in very good health. She’s calmly preparing for the birth [of her son]."

Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin first confirmed that they are in a romantic relationship in January last year. They became engaged a year after and tied the knot in March. They first co-starred together on the thriller film The Negotiation before crossing paths once again in the award-winning drama Crash Landing on You. 

The couple previously announced through an Instagram post that they are expecting their first child together at the end of June.

"A new life has come to us," her translated caption read.

She added, "Today, I’ll be careful and happy. A new life has come to us. I’m still shivering but I’m living it every day due to the changes in my body in the midst of worry and excitement."
