Actress and It’s Showtime host Kim Chiu is excited about what's to come now that the ABS-CBN noontime show has transfered to GTV from TV5.

During the press launch of Chowking Spicy Chao Fan, Kim shared her thoughts about the show finding a new home in GMA.

“It's spicy. It’s interesting,” she told PhilSTAR L!fe and the rest of the media. “It’s something na papanoorin mo talaga at aabangan mo talaga.”

She said that the transfer is a positive change for the show, as it will give them a wider reach and allow them to get to more viewers.

“We’re just very happy and very thankful na sa maraming platforms kami mapapanood,” Kim said. “Mas maraming channels and mas maraming Madlang Pipol ang mapapasaya namin.

Kim, who was welcomed as an official It’s Showtime host in 2020, also expressed her gratitude to the show's producers for supporting her individual growth, which she said encourages her to stay with the show.

“Pag nararamdaman mo naman yung suporta and the loyalty na binabalik sayo, parang magsestay ka talaga ng matagal,” she shared.

The actress also declared her excitement about sharing the It’s Showtime stage with GMA artists, emphasizing that their performances would be for the "Madlang Pipol."

In the show’s pilot episode on the new network last Saturday, July 1, Kim shared the stage with GMA leading lady Barbie Forteza, together with fellow Kapamilya stars Belle Mariano and Alexa Ilacad for the opening number.

Apart from the history of ending “network wars,” the 33-year-old actress also said that this move symbolizes “embracing the change” in Philippine television.

“Hindi talaga natin alam what will happen tomorrow,” she told L!fe. “We just have to enjoy kung ano ang nangyayari ngayon. Just live, experience. Let’s embrace the change and just be happy.”

Kim is positive that the second half of the year will be “exciting” and looks forward to the possibility of being paired with her boyfriend Xian Lim.

In terms of having a project with GMA artists, Kim is open to working with anyone.

“Basta maganda yung project,” she said.

The almost 14-year-old noontime show transferred to GMA Network’s subsidiary channel, GTV, after parting with TV5, due to programming changes affected by Eat Bulaga’s original hosts’ Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon’s separation with their noontime show
