Quezon Province, Taguig, and Bacoor bets are Missossology and Sash Factor’s final top picks for Miss Universe Philippines 2024

The same three candidates—Miss Quezon Province, Taguig, and Bacoor—emerged as the final top picks of pageant sites Missosology and Sash Factor for the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 pageant happening on Wednesday, May 22.

Ahtisa Manalo of Quezon Province topped both lists. While she was not part of Missosology’s previous hot picks as her interview proficiency and catwalk skills “need polishing,” the pageant page said that they have an “overwhelming feeling that she’s ‘the one’”—and it “can’t be denied.”

“One beauty expert who saw the prelims first—hand confessed that Ma. Ahtisa is one of those contestants who aced the competition. The rest of the panel who saw the competition online also agreed,” Missosology said, adding that it’s her “overall aura and vibe” that made them their final hot pick for the upcoming local tilt.

Ahtisa took home the most awards during the pageant's preliminaries at eight. She was also among the top five delegates of Jojo Bragais' runway challenge that took place in May.

Next on their lists is Christi Lynn McGarry of Taguig. “She is in fact the logical choice considering her elegance onstage thanks to her mile—long legs,” Missosology explained. “While her experience is brimming, the panel of beauty experts had decided that she is good enough for the second place.” They said they think she can “absolutely” handle the Miss Supranational tilt, “but her age makes her ineligible to join.”

According to Missosology, Victoria Velasquez Vincent of Bacoor—the third hot pick of both pages—”shone when it matters.” They called her a “delight onstage,” but noted her lack of experience in pageantry. “For sure, she can handle minor international pageants and there’s more opportunities waiting for her in case she fell short.”

Other standouts on their lists are Miss Iloilo City Alexie Brooks, Miss Cebu Kris Janson, and Miss Cainta Stacey Gabriel.
