Kwon Hyun Bin has officially announced his plans to begin his mandatory military service next month.

His agency, Ghost Studio, confirmed Friday that the actor and singer will be enlisting in the Marine Corps on Nov. 24.

Ghost Studio released a statement regarding the enlistment, asking for privacy and support from his fans.

"Actor Kwon Hyun Bin will enter the Marine Corps Training Center on November 24, and after he completes his basic military training, he will fulfill his military duty," they wrote.

They added that since it will be a private occasion, they "will not be holding an official event."

"We ask for your generous understanding in this regard," they continued.

"We are grateful for all the love you send actor Kwon Hyun Bin, and we ask that you warmly cheer him on until the day he returns healthy and even more mature after diligently carrying out his military service," Ghost studio ended.

Kwon Hyun Bin rose to fame after competing on Produce 101 Season 2 in 2017, which led to his debut in the fan-created project group JBJ.

Following JBJ's seven-month run, he shifted his focus to variety shows like Dunia: Into a New World and Try It. He then prepared for a solo debut under YGX in 2019.
