Published Jan 13, 2026 9:50 am

Karylle revealed that she underwent ACL surgery recently.

In an Instagram post, the singer and TV host shared snaps of her time in therapy, including gifts like food and flowers, and the presence of her friends and family.

In one of the photos, her leg can be seen bandaged and supported by a metal brace.

"Getting back into the swing of things. I’ll tell you more about it when I get better but I did a thing. ACL surgery," she captioned her post.

This came months after she was injured while hosting the noontime show It's Showtime. In an Aug. 27 episode, the local star gave in to her co-host Vhong Navarro's request to do a solo number in the opening of their Laro, Laro Pick segment.

As seen in a video, Karylle did an energetic version of their opening dance before losing balance, which made her end up sitting on the ground.

"Sumobra, madlang pipol. Medic. Gumanun 'yung buto ko. Ang hirap pala humataw," she told the audience before she was escorted out by her co-hosts and a safety officer.

According to health information website Medline Plus, an anterior cruciate ligament injury "is the over-stretching or tearing of the anterior cruciate ligament in the knee." A tear may either be partial or complete.
