All six members of MOMOLAND have moved out of their agency, MLD Entertainment.

On Jan. 27, MLD Entertainment announced on the Korean platform Naver that all members of the girl grouup will no longer renew their contracts following its expiration.

The statement reads, “After a lengthy discussion with MOMOLAND (Hyebin, Jane, Nayun, JooE, Ahin, and Nancy), we respected each other’s opinions and agreed to terminate the exclusive contract upon expiration of the contract period.”

“We express our deep gratitude to MOMOLAND who has been with us for a long time, and we will sincerely wish the best for the members’ future endeavors," the agency continued.

“We would like to ask fans to show unchanging love and support to the six members who are about to start anew."

Momoland has been under MLD Entertainment since the group made its debut in 2016 with the mini album Welcome to Momoland. It originally had eight members until Taeha and Yeonwoo left the group in 2019 to pursue solo projects.

Prior to the group's reorganization, MOMOLAND had a free mini concert in the Philippines in 2018 at Ilocos Sur. Two years later, in 2020, the remaining dix members guested in Vice Ganda’s Gandang Gabi Vice late-night talk show.

They came back to the Philippine stage last year in November for Ripples For Hope 2022: A K-pop Friendship Day & Night event with K-pop acts EVERGLOW and AKMU.

The group released its first studio album Chiri Chiri in September 2019. They are known for their songs Bboom Bboom, Baam, and Pinky Love.
