True Faith vocalist Medwin Marfil ties the knot with boyfriend in California
Love wins for True Faith vocalist Medwin Marfil and his boyfriend Mark Angeles as the pair officially became husbands in a ceremony held in California.
Marfil, who leads the ‘90s Filipino pop band, delighted his fans when he shared a picture of himself and Angeles decked in a matching attire of a white long-sleeved polo and shoes, and khaki pants.
In the caption, he revealed that the two of them tied the knot at Rockaway Beach in Pacifica, California last weekend.
"It was a beautiful day," Marfil wrote before adding, "Mark 🩷 Meds 💍💍"
Upon a quick look at Angeles' profile on Facebook, he currently works at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center, which is a research and teaching hospital in California.
He studied at the Colegio de San Juan de Letran and was previously based in Las Piñas City before moving abroad.
In the comments section, many of Marfil's supporters filled the space with their heartiest congratulations and well wishes on their future.
"Yahoo! I’m so happy for you Mr. Perfect! May you have all the best this lifetime offers! Godspeed!" one user commented.
Another wrote, "Congratulations Meds and Mark! May God shower you all the blessings! Stay happy and healthy!"
Same-sex marriage became legal in California starting June 28, 2013. It was previously legalized in 2008 for only five months until voters approved a ban in November of the same year, but it eventually recommenced after the US Supreme Court refused to recognize the legal standing of same-sex marriage opponents.
True Faith is known for songs such as Kung Di Rin Lang Ikaw and Perfect.
