WATCH: VIVIZ feels the music in retro-inspired re-debut with ‘BOP BOP’
VIVIZ is ready for a fresh start with their highly anticipated re-debut as a trio.
VIVIZ is a three-member girl group composed of SinB, Eunha, and Umji—who previously debuted as GFRIEND in 2015. The six-member GFRIEND disbanded in May 2021 following the expiration of their contract.
The three-member made a retro-inspired return to K-pop with the debut title track BOP BOP. The dreamy music video and mini-album were released on Wednesday, Feb. 9.
“Try this rhythm / Bop Bop / Just feel the music / Bop Bop tonight / You’re the only one shining, so shine,” Umji sang in the song’s chorus.
During VIVIZ’s debut showcase, the trio revealed they were “assured” about their debut after receiving encouraging messages from their former group members Yuju, Sowon, and Yerin.
“The words that we’re most thankful for after hearing them from the unnies was that they weren’t worried about us because they knew that we would do well. We felt assured after hearing that. Of course, they cheered us on, but it was more like, ‘Obviously, you girls will do awesome,” VIVIZ said.
Prior to re-debuting as VIVIZ, GFRIEND is known for their tracks Me Gustas Tu, Rough, Fingertip, and Mago.
Congratulations on your fresh start, SinB, Eunha, and Umji!
