Bela Padilla confirms 8-month relationship with tech CEO Martin Tan
Bela Padilla is in love!
The actress confirmed that she's in a relationship with tech CEO Martin Tan in an Instagram reel interview with content creator Johnny K for his Meet Cute with Johnny K series.
The two were approached while shopping at the Legazpi Sunday Market in Makati, where Johnny K asked if they were a couple.
"Yes," Bela replied.
The pair then shared a few things about their love story, including how they first met. “We met through a common friend,” Martin said.
Bela recalled that they quickly connected over their shared love for movies. “He said he likes movies, and I love movies also, so I was very, very excited when he started talking about this,” she said.
Martin—the CEO of AI software company Tenext.ai—revealed that he and Bela have been a couple for eight months and counting.
When asked what he likes most about Bela, Martin said, “Her brain, and she’s funny and beautiful.”
Bela, for his part, shared that he's "game to try everything, like going to markets even if it’s early."
"When he knows I’m going through something, he’ll plan a trip," she added. "Yeah, I think beach trips, that’s my fave."
Bela and Martin's relationship started sparking romance rumors months ago after being spotted together on several occasions. In August, Bela addressed questions about Tan and said they were still “getting to know” each other.
Bela was previously in a relationship with Norman Bay. They were together for five years.
