Chiz Escudero on his new look: ‘Minsan lang ako uma-awra-awra’

Senator Chiz Escudero talked about his new look that’s been a hot topic among social media users lately. 

In a recent interview on ANC Headstart, the politician was asked about his new appearance, which has been catching the attention of many in the past months. “We have netizens saying there’s a ‘new Chiz Escudero,’” host Karen Davila told Chiz.

“So, you’re out in Fashion Week more, surprisingly. There are more photos of you everywhere, and we have netizens commenting you look different. What's happening, senator?” she asked. 

To which, Chiz said that he simply serves as the assistant of his wife, local star Heart Evangelista in fashion events. “Ako lang ‘yung alalay sa likod ng asawa ko tuwing may fashion week at libre at bakante ako,” he explained. “Ako ‘yung taga-laba, taga-luto, taga-linis, taga-tahi ‘pag may kailangang tahiin.” 

“Minsan lang ako uma-awra-awra pero hindi palagi ‘yun—nakukumbinsi lang at napipilit,” he continued.

Chiz's new look has been making the rounds online since May, when Heart posted a photo of him from one of her work trips. Internet users were quick to notice his well-groomed brows in her IG post.

In the same month, Heart shared OOTD pictures showing their coordinating outfits as she expressed her gratitude to Chiz for trying to learn more about her interests. “Appreciate you learning about the things I love,” she wrote.

Heart also said in a June social media post that they are in their “new era” and are “finally on the same page.”

Breakup rumors between Heart and Chiz sparked in 2022. Later that year, she shut down the speculations by tagging her husband in a post. They have since traveled to other countries together.
