Stray Kids' Felix suffers pinched nerve due to car accident

JYP Entertainment, on Sunday, Feb. 16, announced that Stray Kids' Felix had suffered a pinched nerve after figuring in a car accident. 

The incident happened while the idol was returning home after a fan meeting on Feb. 15.

"Felix was in a vehicle (Carnival) that was slowly making its way from the Inspire Arena parking lot towards the main lobby when a shuttle bus that was moving slowly behind collided with the left rear side of the vehicle," JYP said in a statement as per Soompi.

Although the "accident itself was minor," the 24-year-old's weight shifted into his arm, causing him to collide with the armrest, resulting in what was thought to be a fracture.

The agency also assured fans that Felix was immediately taken to the hospital during that time, where medical professionals advised that he needed "adequate rest and proper treatment for the time being." 

The accident prevented Felix from attending the group's fifth fan meeting, "SKZ 5' CLOCK," at Inspire Arena in Incheon, South Korea. 

The label later gave an update on the Stray Kids member's condition. He was transferred to a higher-level general hospital for an MRI scan.

"Upon additional examination, it was determined that the fracture line seen on the initial X-ray was a childhood injury, and at the moment, there’s a pinched nerve near that area," it said. 

The agency also ensured fans that they will be "keeping an eye on Felix's recovery" as the artist needs to undergo necessary treatment based on the medical team’s findings. 

Felix is an Australian rapper and singer based in South Korea. He served as a rapper and lyricist in the K-pop boy band Stray Kids, which was formed in 2017. 

The group is known for hit songs Lose My Breath, Christmas EveL, MANIAC, LALALALA, MEGAVERSE, to name a few.
