Jun Ji-hyun, Kang Dong-won to star in upcoming spy drama 'Tempest'
Korean stars Jun Ji-hyun and Kang Dong-won are set to star in an upcoming Disney+ series!
The streaming platform announced on Wednesday, May 29 that the Korean stars are teaming up for upcoming spy romance drama Tempest, slated to premiere in 2025.
According to the report by South Korean media outlet Soompi, the upcoming drama will tell the story of Moon Ju (Jun Ji Hyun), an accomplished diplomat searching for the truth behind the assassination incident that threatens the Korean peninsula. She will be joined by San Ho (Kang Dong Won), a mysterious special agent.
The series is written by Jung Seo Kyung and director Kim Hee Won, the duo who helmed the hit K-drama Little Women. Another confirmed cast of the series is Oh Jung Se, who is better known for his role in It’s Okay to Not Be Okay.
Ji-hyun is notable for her roles in dramas including My Love from the Star, Legend of the Blue Sea, and the most recent Ashin of the North. Dong-won, meanwhile, starred in films Dr. Cheon and Lost Talisman, Peninsula, and Broker.
