Veteran actor Robert Arevalo has passed away at 85
Veteran actor Robert Francisco Ylagan, more known as Robert Arevalo, has passed away at the age of 85.
His daughter Anna shared the news in a Facebook post, detailing that the actor died on Aug. 10 at 10:17 in the morning.
"Praise God for His mercy and grace. We are grateful that He has given us the best Papa one can ever wish for. Thank you for loving us the way you did, Pa," she wrote.
"Although our hearts are broken, we are comforted by God’s promise that He has a place reserved for you in His kingdom in Heaven where all of us who believe in His son, Jesus, will one day reunite," she added.
Details of Arevalo's wake was also shared by his daughter. It will happen during the weekend after his cremation at Arlington Chapels, Araneta Ave. ‘Solace Rooms 1 and 2’ beginning Aug. 12 to Aug. 13.
"Thank you for all your expressions of love and sympathy. We are deeply touched and grateful," Anna wrote.
Writer Bibeth Orteza has penned a sweet tribute to him on Facebook, writing, "Karangalan naming naging kaibigan siya ng pamilya, mula pa sa galit-bati nilang relasyon ng aking biyenan, hanggang sa kami na mismo ang kanyang mga naka-trabaho."
Arevalo started as a drama actor under the banner of Premiere Productions before moving forward to have a rich career in the Philippine entertainment industry, having recently starred in Ang Probinsyano and Ang Larawan.
