MOMOLAND cancels 10th anniversary fan meet in Manila
Sad news for Filipino Merries: MOMOLAND has canceled their 10th anniversary fan con in Manila.
Event organizer Three Angles Production has annlunced the cancelation of "MOMOLAND’s 10th Anniversary Fan-Con [Very Merry Party]," which was originally set for Aug. 8 at the FYM Hall, EVM Convention Center in Quezon City.
In an official statement shared across their social media platforms, the organizer cited "unforeseen circumstances beyond our control" for the sudden cancellation.
"On behalf of the organizer, we would like to extend our most sincere apologies to everyone who has been looking forward to sharing this special anniversary with MOMOLAND in Manila," the company stated.
Ticket refunds will be processed through megatix.asia. Three Angles Production noted that detailed instructions and payout timelines will be emailed directly to ticket holders, asking fans for patience while the refunds are handled.
Wrapping up their statement, the organizer thanked Filipino "Merries" for their patience and expressed optimism about bringing the K-pop group back to the Philippines in the future.
"We are truly grateful for the understanding and support of the Filipino Merries. Although we are unable to celebrate together this time, we remain hopeful for the opportunity to meet again in the future,” they wrote.
The group's last visit in Manila was in 2022 at a K-pop friendship event in Pasay City.
MOMOLAND is a nine-piece K-Pop girl group, which debuted as seven members in 2016 through a South Korean reality show Finding Momoland, by talent agency MLD Entertainment (formerly, Duble Kick Entertainment).
Original members include Hyebin, JooE, Ahin, Jane, Nayun, Nancy, and Yeonwoo before being joined later by Daisy and Taeha.
The group is best known for their viral hit songs Bboom Bboom in 2018 and BAAM in 2019, which became dance crazes in the Philippines and led to the group's TV appearances.
Taeha and Daisy left the group in 2019, followed by Yeonwoo in 2020. Following the expiration of their contracts, MOMOLAND left MLD Entertainment in January 2023 before officially announcing their disbandment in February.
In 2025, MOMOLAND signed an exclusive contract with Inyeon Entertainment with a comeback single Rodeo in September.
