Kristen Stewart marries longtime partner Dylan Meyer
Kristen Stewart and her longtime girlfriend Dylan Meyer have tied the knot.
The Twilight star and the screenwriter wed in an intimate ceremony at their home in Los Angeles on April 20, according to TMZ.
The two reportedly obtained a marriage license at a courthouse and exchanged vows in front of their loved ones, including actress Ashley Benson and her husband Brandon Davis.
Kristen and Dylan went Instagram official in October 2019 as the screenwriter posted a photo of them sharing a kiss. "Find me under the covers hiding from the happiness police," she captioned.
In November 2021, the Love Lies Bleeding star announced on The Howard Stern Show that they got engaged. It was Dylan, the daughter of Oscar-nominated screenwriter Nicholas Meyer, who got down on one knee and proposed.
"I wanted to be proposed to, so I think I very distinctly carved out what I wanted, and she nailed it. We're marrying. It's happening," the Twilight actress said.
Kristen told Stern in 2019 that she met Dylan while working on a movie in 2013 but didn't reconnect until six years later at a friend's birthday party.
She also shared about the first time she told Dylan that she loved her.
"It was really late and we were in some s****y bar, and her friends were there or whatever and they walked out, and I was just like, 'Oh man, I'm so f*****g in love with you. It wasn't like 'a thing,' and it also was so obvious.
In her 2021 interview with Stern, the actress said she wanted a "pretty chill" ceremony.
"I want to stay home. I want to be in L.A. so everyone can come. I want it to be pretty chill. I don't want anyone walking down any aisles. We're just going to, like, stand and do vows and f*****g party after," she said.
"It's kind of just a great excuse to get together and say 'I love you' in front of all your friends."
The two keep their relationship private, but Dylan has shared a few photos of their sweet moments on Instagram.
"Sweetheart, I love you more than all the shades of green, all the phases of the moon, all the cats in LA. Love you more than [Chucking Express], or Denis Johnson’s already dead, or the stooges’ raw power," Dylan wrote in a 2023 birthday greeting for the actress.
"Some might say that’s too much love but I say those people are squares. Go big or go home!"
