"The House is thrilled to announce @J.M from #BTS as new Dior global ambassador," the French company said on its social media posts Jan. 16, as it also shared photos of Jimin wearing the creations of artistic director Kim Jones.
"Jimin exemplifies the timeless spirit and singularity of Dior as he continues a bond created in 2019 with Kim Jones, who designed @BTS_BigHit stage looks, and solidifies his friendship with the House," Dior said in another post.

The partnership comes ahead of the 28-year-old Korean idol's reported solo album debut.
Korean newspaper Sports Donga reported that Jimin’s solo project is slated for release in February. A few moments after the report circulated on social media, BTS' talent agency, BigHit Music, released a brief statement to XportNews and MyDaily that neither confirmed nor denied the rumors.
BigHit said they are “currently coordinating schedules with regards to BTS Jimin’s solo and will share more details once finalized.”
Prior to Jimin, other BTS members made their solo debuts: leader RM with his hit album Indigo, J-Hope's Jack In The Box, and Jin’s collaboration song with Coldplay titled The Astronaut.
BTS—comprising RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook—is widely considered as South Korea's biggest-ever cultural phenomenon, selling out stadiums worldwide, dominating the charts, raking in billions, and building a global legion of fans known as ARMY.
