Han So Hee confirms dating rumors with Ryu Jun Yeol

Han So Hee and Ryu Jun Yeol are dating.

The Korean actress confirmed the romance speculations in a blog entry on Naver on Saturday, March 16—a day after her agency denied the rumors.

"First, it’s true that we are in a relationship with positive feelings," she wrote in Korean, translated to English by K-entertainment site Soompi.

Soompi reported that dating rumors between Han So Hee and Ryu Jun Yeol started on Friday, March 15 after they were spotted on a vacation in Hawaii. Later in the day, Han So Hee's management said there was no truth to the speculations as she was just on a trip "with close friends." 

Ryu Jun Yeol was previously dating Hyeri, with whom he called it quits late last year. Social media users alleged that there was an overlap between her and Han So Hee's relationships with Ryu Jun Yeol as it was also around the time that Han So Hee attended the actor's photo exhibition.

She shut down the third party allegations in the same statement.

"It’s true that we met through the exhibition, but I went there through a friend who’s a photographer with the goal of viewing the exhibition, and because I’d heard the news that we might be doing a project together, I wound up saying hello," she said.

Han So Hee noted that they started developing feelings for each other at the start of 2024. "His breakup with that person was already wrapped up in early 2023," she stressed.

"Based on this fact, I confirmed my own feelings, and I kept going with the relationship," she added.

Hyeri and Ryu Jun Yeol worked together in the hit 2015 drama series Reply 1988 as Kim Jun-hwan and Sung Deok-sun. They went public about their relationship in August 2017 and broke up in November 2023.

Han So Hee appeared in hit K-drama offerings like The World of the Married and Gyeongseong Creature.
