Former Japanese pornstar Asuka Kirara denied her involvement with Ju Haknyeon, a former member of The Boyz, as well as allegations that she engaged in prostitution.

Kirara made the brief statement on her X account on June 21. "There are a lot of speculations going around, but the Shukan Bunshun article hasn't come out yet. Please don't spread false information," she wrote in Japanese, as automatically translated by the platform.

She refuted claims that she engaged in prostitution, slamming early news reports that Haknyeon paid her for sex.

"I have never once in my life engaged in paid sex acts (prostitution) in private. Of course, this time too," she continued.

Kirara claimed that a certain woman, who seemed to like Haknyeon, took his photo and sold it to a media outlet.

"A woman who was there for the first time seemed to like Hanyoung, so she had her photo taken and sold to Bunshun," Kirara wrote.

Prostitution allegations

This came after ONE HUNDRED, the agency of The Boyz, announced on June 18 that Haknyeon's departure from the group and termination of his contract, following reports that the K-pop idol met privately with Kirara in May.

Per Soompi, another local outlet, TenAsia reported that Haknyeon had paid Asuka Kirara for sex. At the time, Haknyeon confirmed in his handwritten letter that he attended a private gathering with Kirara, but denied that he engaged in prostitution or any other illegal activity.

On June 20, Haknyeon denied the prostitution allegation anew and demanded that whoever has evidence that he participated in it be released to the public immediately.

"Although I have already made it clear that I have not engaged in any illegal activities, certain reporters and media outlets continue to publish malicious articles. In response, I will pursue all possible civil and criminal legal action," he wrote on his Instagram post.

"If there is any evidence that I engaged in prostitution, I urge that it be made public immediately," he added.

He also refuted claims that he left The Boyz and said that his departure from the group and termination of his contract were a unilateral decision made without his consent.

Haknyeon added, "Despite there being no valid reason for contract termination as outlined in my contract, my agency is attempting to fabricate such grounds. Some media outlets are also defaming me by bringing up prostitution without any evidence."

Meanwhile, ONE HUNDRED agency clarified that they decided to suspend Haknyeon’s activities after recognizing that "the matter at hand could cause significant harm to the group’s activities."

They added that the issue arose from the K-pop star's negligence of his responsibilities. Consequently, if he persists in making such claims, the agency will pursue necessary legal action to protect the company and its artists.

Kirara retired from the adult film industry in 2020 and has since started a new career as an influencer in Japan.

Following Haknyeon's departure, THE BOYZ is now a ten-member group comprised of Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, New, Q, Sunwoo, and Eric. Hwall previously left the group in October 2019 after facing health issues.
