Bela Padilla reacts to wedding rumors with Swiss-Italian boyfriend
Bela Padilla reacted to rumors that she got married to her Swiss-Italian boyfriend, Norman Ben Bay.
On X, the actress shared the link of a YouTube video titled "Just Now! THE INTIMATE WEDDING nina BELLA PADILLA at NORMAN WAY in St. Gallen Switzerland!" as she debunked the report and asked her followers to report the account.
"Can we all please report this account that keeps spreading fake news. That clickbait photo is from a teleserye scene," she said with a thumbs down emoji.
In another tweet, Padilla wrote, "Not married. Stop congratulating me guys."
In a now-expired Instagram Story, Padilla called out the YouTube account for its "clickbait videos" about her supposed marriage.
“Nothing to ruin your day like getting congratulatory messages from your people you know," she said, "cause a YouTube account keeps posting click bait videos that you got married."
"Not married, yet, guys. Save the congratulations for another day,” she added.
Padilla and Bay first met in 2017 in Zurich, Switzerland during a filming for a movie. They became friends and maintained communication even when she had to return to the Philippines.
Padilla hard-launched her relationship with Bay in 2020. They celebrated their fourth anniversary last February.
In a post, Padllla shared photos of her and Bay, describing him as the person “who supports my mission to finish Hogwarts Legacy on the PlayStation and will happily take over the stages that are too scary for me.”
In his own post, Bay said his past four years with Padilla were “filled with love, laughter and adventure.” Though they’ve been far apart due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he said they “always had a bond that could withstand distance and time and we are proving it to each other.”
