After a seven-year hiatus, G-Dragon returned to the spotlight with the release of his comeback song Power in October last year. It was shortly followed by Home Sweet Home, a song featuring two of his BIGBANG bandmates Taeyang and Daesung.
“I’m so grateful that both songs are still receiving so much love. I believe they’ve been embraced because they’re true to who I am,” he stated in an interview with Vogue Singapore.
G-Dragon released his third studio album of the same name in February. It peaked at the number 3 spot on the Billboard US World Album chart upon its release.
In 2017, the Philippines was one of the 36 countries G-Dragon visited as part of his globally successful world tour, “Act III: M.O.T.T.E.”
Born Kwon Ji-yong G-Dragon debuted in 2006 as a member of BIGBANG, one of K-Pop’s most successful boy bands known for their songs Fantastic Baby and Bang Bang Bang.
