Talk about Pinoy talent and brilliance!

The Miss Universe Bahrain council, which is tasked to determine who will represent Bahrain at the upcoming Miss Universe, is dominated by Filipinos.

According to the  pageant organization, this year’s council “is the paragon of an undeniable force of global talents to reckon with.”

Among its most notable Filipino members include Kylie Verzosa, who has been tapped as the head of women empowerment. While she’s been focused on her career as an actress in recent years, it’s worth noting that she won Miss International back in 2016, which made her the sixth Filipina to take home the crown for the country.

Host and TV personality Raymond Gutierrez, meanwhile, will serve as the council’s fashion director.

Brillante Mendoza, an award-winning filmmaker who has showcased his brilliance in movies like Kinatay (2009), Ma’Rosa (2016), and Bahay na Pula (2022), among others, was named artistic director of the council.

There’s also renowned Filipino fashion designer Furne One, who will serve as its creative director.

The council is led by national director Josh Yugen, a Filipino socialite based in Dubai.

Other Filipino personalities include entrepreneur Lorenzo Vega as head of innovation as well as TV executive and film producer Joey Abacan as senior executive consultant.

Joining the council as head of culture is Evlin Abdullah Khalifa, who won Miss Universe Bahrain in 2022.

Miss Universe Bahrain began taking part in the prestigious beauty pageant in 2021, with Manar Nadeem Deyani as its first winner.

The 72nd Miss Universe pageant will be held in El Salvador.
