Kris Bernal shares why she and Aljur Abrenica did not end up together
Kris Bernal revealed why things did not work out between her and her former love team Aljur Abrenica.
During her guest appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, the actress revealed that their love team, although it was a hit in their time, did not turn into something more in real life for long because their personalities did not match.
"Parang hindi kami magkasundo talaga. Hindi kami mag-jive ng ugali e," she said.
"'Yung kakanta kami sa mall show, sweet-sweetan kami... pero pagdating sa backstage, magkaaway kami," she recalled with a laugh.
Kris revealed that they did try to make it work once since they were together almost every day, but it only lasted a few months.
"Pero siguro na-realize namin na hindi eh, kahit i-try natin, hindi talaga tayo nagkakasundo. Tinry naman, baka lang, triny naman," she shared. "Mabilis lang parang mga—kasi lagi kami magkasama everyday talaga—siguro mga two months, three months. Hindi talaga kami magkaugali."
The two recently reunited when Kris guested on TiktoClock, while Aljur dropped by backstage, since his partner, AJ Raval, was also a guest the same day.
In the video uploaded by TiktoClock, the actress asked her former love team as to why he was "ignoring" Kris' texts from the past years.
"Namiss kita. I’m happy for you, and congrats sa life,” she told Aljur.
Kris and Aljur, collectively known as AlKris, were a hit love team in the early 2010s. They were alums of the talent search show StarStruck Season 4, which aired in 2006. They starred in GMA teleseryes The Last Prince, Coffee Prince remake, Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin?, Prinsesa ng Buhay Ko, and Hiram na Alaala.
