Solenn Heussaff gives sneak peek of new house, offers tips to homeowners
It's out with the old and in with the new for Solenn Heussaff and her family as they have now moved into their new home, "Casa Sosbolz 2.0."
In a video posted on her YouTube account, Solenn detailed the days they spent moving their things from their old house and settling into their new one, which features a modern design and spacious interior.
"We are all packed up, it's time to say goodbye to our house and move to the new one. It feels so weird, we've been here for seven years," Solenn said before showing clips of the memories she made with her family in their old home.
The new house features a lush garden and a swimming pool where they can cool off during a hot day, a roof deck for some scenic sights, and a wide playroom where her children Tili and Maëlys can play.
Now that they're almost done with the move, Solenn took the time to share with her followers her experience and offer some tips on how they could better prepare for the process.
Their priority was to hire professionals who are extensively trained to perform a thorough cleaning job.
"When you move into a new house, you really need to clean because imagine, it's years of building with the dust and everything just accumulating," the actress said.
Solenn shared that she used to be the one to transfer all their belongings every time they moved houses. But now that they are a family and with kids, she had to hire a professional home organizer service to help bring the furniture in a neat and ordered way.
"I used to do the moving in myself with the two other places we moved into before, but we were just two. Now that we have to move in kids and staff, it's a little harder because there are more things in the boxes," she said.
In the video, Solenn also showed the staff's quarters, which included double-deck beds, a small table, a shower and toilet, and an outdoor area.
For the living room, Solenn opted to use waterproof outdoor rugs, which would be easier to maintain now that she has children and dogs.
"I feel like a rug really dresses up a place, but with kids and animals, it's almost impossible to maintain a nice rug," she said.
Solenn mentioned in the vlog that their next video will show more details of their home.
It was in June 2021 when the couple announced that they were starting to build a new house. Then, in August 2023, Solenn shared an update for her fans, including tips and brands they discovered along the way.
"Lots of decisions to be made when building a house! It has been a while and we are still learning, but were almost there! Sharing with you guys some tips and magical brands and materials we discovered in case you decide to build one day," she posted.
