The historic event where the biggest names in Korea have come to grace their Filipino fans is finally here!

For the first time ever, the Philippines is hosting this year’s Asia Artist Awards at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan.

Hosted by IVE's Jang Won-young, soloist Kang Daniel, and ZEROBASEONE's Sung Han-Bin, the show will honor some of the outstanding achievements and international contributions of South Korean artists in Asian television, film, and music.

Not only will it be a time of celebration as hallyu fans will get to cheer for their favorite icons, but it will also be a night of excitement as they will be treated to electrifying performances from the likes of Kang Daniel, Kim Jae-joong, actor Yoo Seon-ho, and rappers DinDin, Ash Island, and Paul Blanco.

Some famous faces in the local entertainment scene are also expected to be there to join in on the fun, such as Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, Melai Cantiveros and P-pop groups SB19 and HORI7ON.

BSS end AAA 2023 with an electrifying energy

BSS, the first sub-unit of South Korean boy band SEVENTEEN, served as the final act of this year's AAA, and they proved that they’re not to be messed with.

DK, Hoshi, and Seungkwan put a twist to their performance by doing funny scene with celebreties Lee Dong-Hwi, Sakaguchi Kentaro, and Kim Sejeong before bursting into their hit songs.

Their act was filled with so much boundless energy that it even got their fellow celebrities standing up and dancing to the beat.

Stray Kids light up the night at the AAA 2023

The boys of Stray Kids are finally here to give fans everything they want and more!

Members Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N. dominated the AAA 2023 stage as they lit up the whole arena with their song Maniac, Get Lit, TOPLINE, and LALALALA.

Lim Young-woong serenades fans at AAA 2023 after winning several awards

Lim Young-woong, who had bagged multiple awards at this year's AAA, serenaded fans with a passionate performance of Grain of Sand and Do or Die.

Some of the recognitions he received are the Fandom of the Year Award, Best Choice Award, Hot Trend Award, and Popularity Award.

More AAA awards given

More artists were recognized at this year's AAA ceremony.

Singer Kim Jae Joong, who received the Top of K-pop Record Award, said the win is "meaningful to me" and that he is "excited for the coming years," especially as he prepares for a new album.

Girl group LLE SSERAFIM earned the Best Performance award for their electrifying number while singing Perfect Night and Eve, Psyche & The Bluebeard's Wife.

The Best Artists for music were also named that night, including AKMU, ITZY, THE BOYZ, SB19, and LE SSERAFIM.

The Best Artists (Actor), meanwhile, are Kentaro Sakaguki, Kim Jihoon, and Kim Seon Ho.

Kim Seon Ho, who recently visited the Philippines for a fan meeting, said he realized that his fans' love "made me an actor."

After witnessing all the performances and the cheers from the crowd, Kim Jihoon, for this part, concluded that "all artists are built by their fans." He congratulated all the winners and fellow artists.

Additionally, the hosts also named the Grand Prize Winners. They are Lim Young Woong (Fandom of the Year), BSS (Performance of the Year), and Stray Kids (Stage of the Year).

K-pop powerhouses ITZY, The Boyz grace the stage of the AAA 2023

Just when the night couldn’t be more exciting at this year’s AAA, K-pop powerhouse ITZY turned things up a notch as they effortlessly captivated the crowd.

The group, which consists of Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna, had everyone cheering their hearts out as they performed their song Kill Shot and Cake.

Right on their heels, K-pop supergroup The Boyz also captivated their Filipino fans with their intense charisma. Members Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, New, Q, Ju Haknyeon, Sunwoo and Eric showcased their pure talent as they belted out their hit song Watch It.

Prior to their performances, South Korean duo consisting of siblings Lee Chan-hyuk and Lee Su-hyun are the perfect combination as they sang their song Love Lee and Give Love.

Girl power! NewJeans and LE SSERAFIM slay their performances at AAA 2023

NewJeans has taken center stage at the AAA 2023!

The girl group, composed of Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein, gave an explosive performance as they sang some of their most popular songs such as OMG, ETA, and Super Shy.

They are then followed by the girls of LE SSERAFIM, who delivered one unforgettable performance at the historic award show. Members Sakura, Kim Chae-won, Huh Yun-jin, Kazuha, and Hong Eun-chae all made the crowd go wild with their thrilling dance moves, perfectly complementing their smooth vocals as they sang Perfect Night and Eve, Psyche & The Bluebeard's wife.

Melai Cantiveros celebrates Best Actor win

Melai Cantiveros received one of the loudest cheers as she went on stage to receive her Best Actor award at the AAA 2023.

In her speech, the Filipino comedian said she is "overwhelmed" to receive such recognition.

"If someone questions why I have [an] award, don't worry, I question [it] too," she said. "Tonight, my heart is very the best. I think because God moves in mysterious ways."

Aside from Melai, Korean actors Kim Sejong, Ahn Hyo Seop, Lee Dong Hwi, and Lee Jun Hyuk were also named Best Actors.

More K-pop acts make AAA 2023 an explosive night

The night is still going strong with electrifying acts from Korean artists at the AAA 2023.

Co-ed group KARD, composed of members J.Seph, BMSomin, and Jiwoo, certainly made their mark during the prestigious award show as they sang ICKY and CAKE.

The girls of STAYC—Sumin, Sieun, Isa, Seeun, Yoon, and J—meanwhile channeled their inner Barbie as they danced to their song Teddy Bear and Bubble in outfits bathed in playful pink.

Singer and actress Kwon Eun-bi took thinks to a whole new direction with a sultry performance of her song Underwater while wearing a red sequined top and skirt that showed all her good sides. Her act was followed by Japanese idol girl group Sakurazaka46 with their musical masterpiece Shoninyokkyu.

Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla recognized at AAA 2023

Filipino actors Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla were given recognition at the AAA 2023, alongside NewJeans, Stray Kids, and Lim Young Woong.

Accepting the award, Kathryn said she's proud to be a Filipino and that she feels "blessed" to be sharing this moment with her fans.

"Nakakaproud bilang Pilipino, tayo ang nag hohost ng ganitong event, diba? Also, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody for supporting Filipino-made TV series and as well as movies. Patapos na yung taon but I feel so blessed that I'm sharing this with all of you," she said.

STAYC, meanwhile, thanked their fans for their "passionate energy" as they accepted the Best Musician Award. Sharing the stage with them were KARD, ZEROBASEONE, Kwon Eun Bi, and Sakurazaka46.

Earlier, AAA also named Kim Young Dae, Lee Jun Young, and Mun Ka Young as winners of the Best Acting Performance Award.

Kim Jae-joong, &TEAM, Dreamcatcher lead second part of AAA 2023 with lively performances

South Korean singer Kim Jae-joong kicked off the second part of AAA 2023 with a deep and heartfelt performance of his song Mine. In contrast to his soulful vocals, rapper DinDin opted for a more fun and peppy song with Foolin’ Myself.

Their acts were followed by the girls of Dreamcatcher as they did a playful yet fierce version of their song Shatter. With their stunning outfits and intricate dance moves, members JiU, SuA, Siyeon, Handong, Yoohyeon, Dami, and Gahyeon truly gave their Filipino fans a dream-come-true performace.

But &TEAM aren't slacking back as they also dominated the stage with an energy-filled performance of their song Dropkick and War Cry. Coming in their heels is South Korean singer-songwriter Kang Daniel, who serenaded the crowd with his serene voice as he sang Selfish and Nirvana.

ZEROBASEONE earns loud cheers from the crowd at AAA 2023

ZEROBASEONE certainly made an impression with their explosive performance that won’t fade from anyone’s memory anytime soon, just as the first part of AAA 2023 has concluded.

The group, comprised of Kim Ji-woong, Zhang Hao, Sung Han-bin, Seok Matthew, Kim Tae-rae, Ricky, Kim Gyu-vin, Park Gun-wook and Han Yu-jin, proved they they’re considered a powerhouse in the music industry as they performed Crush.

South Korean rapper Lee Young-ji is proving that she is the queen of rap as she gave a powerful performance of her song I Am Lee Young Ji. At some point, she even went to the crowd and prompted SEVENTEEN's BSS members DK, Hoshi, and Seungkwan to dance with her as she sang.

BoyNextDoor came next with their song One and Only, and Filipino fans couldn't help but crave for more of their heavenly vocals and suave dance moves.

The award show will now move to the second part of the ceremony.

Ben&Ben accepts Best Choice Award

Ben&Ben is once again bringing pride to the Philippines after winning the Best Choice Award at the AAA 2023!

In their acceptance speech, Ben&Ben expressed genuine surprise upon receiving the award.

"We did not expect this, honestly. We're very very surprised. We just want to say thank you to each and every one of you for being here. We want to thank all of the artists. It's such an honor to be able to watch such amazing performances tonight," said lead vocalist Paolo Benjamin.

Other winners are BOYNEXTDOOR, Lee Young Ji, Kang Daniel, &TEAM, NewJeans, NMIXX, Dreamcatcher, Lim Young Woong, Dindin, and Kim Jae Joong.

Apart from the Best Choice Award, AAA also named the winners of the Emotive, Asia Celebrity, and Rookie Awards.

Oneus, BOYNEXTDOOR, EXO's Suho, and &TEAM were recognized with the Emotive Award, while the Rookie Award was given to ZEROBASEONE, Moon Sang Min, and Lee Eun Saem.

Meanwhile, NewJeans, LE SSERAFIM. Jang Wonyoung, Kentaro Sakaguchi, and actor Kim Seon Ho were all presented with the Asia Celebrity Award.

K-pop groups Kep1er and ONEUS dominate the stage of AAA 2023

Girl group Kep1er dazzled at the AAA 2023 with a performance of their song Giddy that's full of spirit and action. Members Kim Chae-hyun, Huening Bahiyyih, Choi Yu-jin, Kim Da-yeon, Seo Young-eun, Kang Ye-seo, Hikaru Ezaki, Mashiro Sakamoto, and Shen Xiaoting surely made the crowd giddy with excitement for more.

ONEUS, comprised of Seoho, Leedo, Keonhee, Hwanwoong and Xion, followed suit with their song Baila Conmigo, wherein they donned Spanish-inspired ensembles that further escalated their allure and charisma.

Melai Cantiveros says she would like to meet Kim Seon-ho and NewJeans at AAA 2023

Melai Cantiveros had a chance to get interviewed at the AAA 2023, wherein she revealed that she would like to meet Start-Up star Kim Seon-ho and girl group NewJeans if given the chance.

"I so very [want to meet my] idol Kim Seon-ho and NewJeans, because my daughter loves NewJeans," Melai answered.

When asked how she is feeling at getting a chance to attend the esteemed award show, the actress gushed, "It's a very honor. I feel like I am the first honor, a valedictorian at attending AAA. It's the best, prestigious award. I cannot believe this is happening."

Tempest, NMIXX, Ash Island belt out their songs at the AAA 2023

With his stylish black jacket and shades, South Korean rapper Ash Island gave a smooth performace of his song Melody to the Filipino crowd.

Boy band Tempest heightened the excitement as they sang their songs Vroom Vroom and Dive. Members Hanbin, Hyeongseop, Hyuk, Eunchan, Lew, Hwarang, and Taerae complemented their lively performance with silky hoodies and shirts.

The girls of NMIXX—Lily, Haewon, Sullyoon, Bae, Jiwoo, and Kyujin—also showed their raw talent as danced to the sick beat of their song Soñar (Breaker).

SB19, NewJeans among AAA Hot Trend winners

P-pop group SB19 and K-pop girl group NewJeans received the Hot Trend award, alongside actors Lee Jun Ho and Ahn Hyo Seop, and singer Lim Young Woong.

In their speech, SB19 thanked their fans who have supported them throughout their journey.

"First and foremost I would like to thank God for giving us the strength to get through everything. And of course, A'TIN, you guys are the best! We love you all so much," Pablo said. He continued his speech by thanking the staff and managers who helped them establish the ownership of their group name and logo.

Before this, AAA also gave the Icon Award and Popularity Award.

The Icon Award was given to Tempest, NMIXX, KEP1ER, and The Glory actress Cha Joo Young. 

"I'm really honored to be here on the stage and I'd like to share the honor and gratitude to the team [of] The Glory and my management Ghost Studio," Joo Young said.

Japanese girl group Sakurazaka46, BUDDIES, King the Land star Lee Jun Ho, Lim Young Woong, and actress Kim Sejeong received the Popularity Award.

Jun Ho expressed his gratitude to his fans and supporters saying, "I'll be an actor repaying this gratitude."

More Asian acts made the AAA 2023 a show to remember!

Chinese singer Yao-Chen sizzled the show as he performed his song Adventure Player in a crop top that showcased his fit body and toned abs. His act was followed by Korean-Canadian singer Paul Blanco, who will definitely have you thinking all about him as he did a soulful performance of his song Summer.

Boy band Kingdom, consisting of Dann, Arthur, Mujin, Louis, Ivan, Jahan and Chiwoo, also rose up and shined on the AAA 2023 stage as they sang their song COUP D’ETAT in a red, royal attire.

AAA names Best Creator and Producer

The next batch of awards was given to 3RACHA and producer Seo Hyun Joo.

3RACHA, a sub unit of Stray Kids, received the AAA Best Creator award. The group consists of CB97 (Bang Chan), SPEARB (Changbin), and J.ONE (Han).

Meanwhile, music producer Seo Hyun Joo, who has worked with renowned artists like MONSTA X and IVE, continued her winning streak at the AAA, taking home the AAA Producer award for the second year running.

HORI7ON makes AAA 2023 a show to remember with awe-inspiring performance

Rising P-pop boy group HORI7ON cemented their mark with slick dance moves and heavenly vocals at the AAA 2023.

Members Vinci Malizon, Kim Ng, Kyler Chua, Reyster Yton, Winston Pineda, Jeromy Batac, and Marcus Cabais had their fans shaking the entire Philippine Arena with cheers and squeals as they performed SIX7EEN.

Korean groups LAPILLUS (composed of Chanty, Shana, Yue, Bessie, Seowon, and Haeun) and LUN8 (composed of Chael, Jinsu, Takuma, Junwoo, Dohyun, Ian, Ji Eun-ho and Eunseop) also hyped up the crowd with a performance of their song Who's Next and Wild Heart respectively.

ATBO, which consists of Oh Jun-seok, Ryu Jun-min, Bae Hyun-jun, Seok Rak-won, Jeong Seung-hwan, Kim Yeon-kyu and Won Bin, also gave it their all as they belted out their hit music.

Prior to their performance, the AAA 2023 has announced that Yao-Chen, Kingdom, Ash Island, and Park Jae-chan are the recipients of this year’s New Wave Award.

P-pop group HORI7ON wins first award; Chanty of LAPILLUS gives speech

P-pop group HORI7ON received the first award of the show.

HORI7ON was awarded the AAA Focus Award alongside LUN8, Younghoon, Ahn Dong-Goo.

"Thank you so much for giving this opportunity. Last year pinapangarap lang namin na makapanood ng live ng mga iniidolo namin. Pero ngayon nabigyan kami ng opportunity na makasali sa prestihiyosong award na ito. Nagpapasalamat talaga kami. Salamat," the Filipino group said.

Meanwhile, LAPILLUS, ATBO, hip hop artist Paul Blanco, and singer Yoo Seon Ho received the AAA Potential Award.

Receiving the award, Fil-Argentinian member Chanty of LAPILLUS thanked the Lord and their fans for the opportunity.

"Unang una po sa lahat, gusto namin magpasalamat sa Diyos dahil sa magandang blessing po na ito. At masayang masaya po kami at nagpapasalamat sa opportunity na maka attend ulit sa AAA lalo't lalo na dahil dito po ginanap sa Pilipinas. At 'yun, marami pong pasabog ang LAPILLUS in the future, so please watch out!" 

The Asia Artist Awards 2023 begins with banger performances from SB19, WHIB, and &TEAM

The once-in-a-lifetime event that is the AAA 2023 has finally begun, giving Filipino hallyu fans a historic moment as the prestigious award show is held for the first time in the country.

The show opened with a bang with a heart-stopping performance from eight-member boy band WHIB, comprised of Jayder, Haseung, Jinbeom, Ugeon, Leejeong, Jaeha, Inhong and Wonjun. They sang their song BANG!

Their act was immediately followed by SB19, and Filipino fans couldn’t help but cheer for Pablo, Stell, Ken, Justin, and Josh as they performed some of their favorite hits such as Gento, Mana, and Bazinga.

The opening ended on a high note with SB19 and &TEAM merging for one big performance of Gento.

IVE's Jang Won-young, soloist Kang Daniel, and ZEROBASEONE's Sung Han-Bin serve as the hosts for the six-hour affair.

Cha Joo-young meanwhile turned heads with her silky white dress that makes her shine like the star she is.

The award show's red carpet is getting even more exciting as more shining stars have arrived in their fashionable outfits.

P-pop powerhouse SB19–composed of Pablo, Stell, Ken, Justin, and Josh–look dashing as ever as they wore white polos with intricate patterns underneath black blazers.

EXO's Suho has also arrived, wearing a classic white and black polo and suit capped off by a dainty bowtie.
