Dolly de Leon pens sweet appreciation letter for Kathryn Bernardo: 'Forever an honor, forever on your side'
Dolly de Leon and Kathryn Bernardo have found a true friend in each other, and they sure are proud of it.
The 54-year-old actress on Sept. 25 took to Instagram to express her immense gratitude to her A Very Good Girl co-actress, Kathryn.
Dolly shared a photo of the 27-year-old star and captioned her post, “My very good girl, we’re about to reach the finish line of this insane journey and the sepanx is slowly creeping in."
The award-winning actress went on to enumerate all the ways Kathyrn has become a pleasant "surprise" for her and thanked her for it.
"So before our film hits the world, let me thank you for being there for me, always looking out for me, supporting me in my other projects (a little birdie told me about the block screening of Iti - ikaw talagaaaa), for being inclusive and making me feel comfortable in situations I’m not used to, for making me laugh and for just being your crazy little you,” she continued.
“Many things are good and great about our film but you were the best ‘surprise!’ of them all.”
“Thank you, Kath. Forever an honor. Forever on your side (alam mo yan). Love you to the moon and back,” she concluded her post.
Kathryn meanwhile commented: “Ms d! [B]aka matulak kita [nang] mas malakas nyan,” she quipped. “Love [you] so mucho.”
Fans and celebrities, including Chie Filomeno, Maja Salvador-Nuñez, and Iza Calzado sent messages of love to both actresses.
“[Dolly,] [I] love you and thank you for loving and treating my very good girl as your friend/daughter. God gave her a new friend, a teacher and a close confidante,” Kathryn’s mom, Min Bernardo commented.
“Aww. Ma’am, thank you for loving Kath. [It’s] was truly a joy watching you two while promoting and we can’t wait to see and watch the two of you in cinemas soon!! [M]ahal po namin kayo, Ms. D!” a fan commented.
In their recent guesting in Magandang Buhay, Kathryn also expressed her gratitude to the actress, saying, “Consider me a friend you can count on.”
“I just want you to know how much I appreciate our friendship, I will value it forever. I'm just one message away kapag kailangan mo ng pampa-relax at kailangan mo ng pampa-happy nandito lang ako parati to make you happy,” she said.
The two recently concluded their mall shows to promote their upcoming dark comedy mystery film, A Very Good Girl. This marks their first time co-starring in a film which is set to be released on Wednesday, Sept. 27.
