Andres Muhlach, the 22-year-old son of Aga Muhlach and Charlene Gonzales, revealed that he has never had a girlfriend since birth.

At a recently concluded media conference, the local star said he hasn't had a girlfriend his whole life as he's putting his career at the top of his priorities.

"I haven't had a girlfriend my whole life, really. I'm not saying that I'm looking for one right now, but I'm more focused with work, really," he said, adding that while he has gone on a few dates, none of them ended up into something more.

"I never felt that I was the crush or whatever. I never had a girlfriend. Of course, I've tried to date. You know I went on a few dates in my life but (nothing) ended growing into the relationship level. It never really reached there," he shared.

"In time, it will come. The right time. She will be there for me, for sure. Sana, 'di ba? But yeah, I'm just more focused on my work right now," he continued.

What are the things he's looking for in a girl? Andres said he wants someone he can "enjoy spending time with" and could make him laugh.

"Another important thing is, [I] like a girl that is very God-fearing and puts God first in her life. It's a big factor for me because that just shows me that you know the fundamentals of how it is to be a [good] person," the young actor added.

Andres officially joined the entertainment industry via Viva Artists Agency, following in the footsteps of his sister and his parents.

When asked for his reaction to being called the newest "Crush ng Bayan," he said he finds it "very flattering."

"I've never ever thought of it that way, only as of recent. I started to see the love that people were giving me and the whole crush ng bayan [thing]," he said. "I really appreciate it from the bottom of my heart really."

Andres will star in the upcoming TV5 sitcom Da Pers Family, where he will join his parents and his twin sister, Atasha. It would mark his first acting project.
