Tom Holland responds to breakup rumors with Zendaya
Tom Holland has reacted to speculations that he and Zendaya are no longer together.
According to a TMZ report published on Friday, Jan. 12, the actor briefly addressed the rumors and said they have "absolutely not" broken up.
Breakup rumors began early this month when eagle-eyed social media users noticed that Zendaya unfollowed everyone on Instagram, including her boyfriend.
Tom is still following her on the social media platform as of writing.
Tom and Zendaya met on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016. They started out as a love team in the Spider-Man films as Peter Parker and Michelle Jones or MJ, respectively.
They sparked dating rumors in 2017, but only confirmed their relationship four years later after being spotted getting cozy during a vacation in July 2021.
In the course of their romance, they have been rumored to be ready to take their love to the next level by tying the knot.
In 2022, a source told media outlets that Tom and Zendaya "are both in settling-down mode and are absolutely planning for a real future together." The insider also said that their romance seems "serious and permanent."
Zendaya was once seen wearing a ring with her boyfriend's name engraved on it.
