Nikki Gil earns her second degree at 38 years old: 'Never too late'

It’s never too late to chase a new dream, and Nikki Gil is proof of that as she has now earned her second college degree!

The 38-year-old singer-actress took to her Instagram account to share that she has graduated from the SoFA Design Institute with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design.

She coupled it with pictures of her nearest and dearest attending the graduation ceremony with her.

"Ten years, two kids, one pandemic, countless deadlines, and a whole lot of 'Lord, please see me through this' prayers later," Nikki began.

"I started this journey in 2016, never knowing just how much life would happen along the way. I had days when I wondered if I would ever actually finish. But God is good! He knew every season, every delay, every prayer," she added.

As if earning her second degree wasn't enough, Nikki also ended her academic journey with two major recognitions: Highest Distinction and Best Thesis.

Nikki went on to express her gratitude to her family, friends, classmates, professors, and staff at SoFA Design Institute. She particularly highlighted her husband BJ Albert, who has "always been supportive of her pursuit of this dream," as well as her two children Finn and Maddie.

She ended her post with an encouraging message to her followers: "Let this be your reminder that it’s never too late to pursue your dreams. Take it from Tita Nikki and her second degree before 40!"

Nikki earned her first degree at the Ateneo de Manila University back in 2009, pursuing English Literature.

Nikki started as a commercial model before being given a VJ stint on MYX. She went on to build a career as a singer and actress, releasing music and appearing in various television shows and films.
