LOOK: Catriona Gray poses with her doppelgänger in Madame Tussauds Singapore
Catriona Gray finally meets her twin—a wax figure, that is!
Catriona is the latest celebrity to be commemorated in wax at Singapore's Madame Tussauds, and on Wednesday, March 30, the Miss Universe beauty queen finally met her immortalized version during the unveiling in Sentosa Island, Singapore.
"Who's that girl 👀 what a surreal moment to (FINALLY!) launch my very own wax figure at @mtssingapore after 3 years! Kiliiiig akoooo!" Catriona shared on social media, posing with her wax figure.
She added that she is "so honored and flattered" as she is the only Filipino celebrity to have a wax figure in the wax museum's Singapore branch.
Catriona is portrayed looking every bit of a beauty queen. The wax figure is dressed in a replica of her iconic Mak Tumang lava gown that she wore at the finals night of Miss Universe 2018.
The singer also shared a tidbit about the outfit, saying there is a "small difference" on the gown to cover the "seams" of the wax figure's head. Catriona also said that the mesh base of the gown posted a challenge, but Mak was able to work around with it.
"We chose the 'final walk' look from @missuniverse sans MU sash and crown, because the interactive concept is to 'LavaWalk' with me. 🥰 Also as the only Filipino in MT Singapore, it brings me so much pride to have the PHILIPPINES sash front and center," Catriona added, while thanking her glam team who joined her during the event.
Catriona joins Manny Pacquiao and Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach as the only Filipinos to have their own likeness created by the wax artists at Madame Tussauds. Manny and Pia's wax figures are displayed in the museum's Hong Kong branch.
