WATCH: Joseph Marco earns praises for saving sick and malnourished stray cat
Social media users praised Joseph Marco after he went out of his way to save a stray cat that looks malnourished and unwell.
In an Instagram post, the actor shared a video documenting how he helped his four-legged friend that he enjoys playing with whenever they cross paths near his restaurant.
He shared that he got concerned when he noticed that the cat, which he named Sylvester, began losing a lot of weight.
"He has colds and has been sneezing a lot," Marco added.
The Ang Probinsyano star knew that he couldn't just turn a blind eye to the cat's declining health, so he decided to gently put him in a box so that he could bring him to a veterinarian.
"He was pretty confused. I guess he has never been inside a car. It's his first time going to the vet. Hope he recovers soon. Prayers for Sylvester," Marco said.
Because of the genuine care and appreciation he showed for Sylvester, Instagram users showered him with praise for his compassionate gesture.
"What a generous spirit you have po. Get well shortly, Sylvester! Take care of him po," one user commented.
Another one wrote, "Thank you for your care [for] animals! Please continue to do so, it's a fulfilling thing to do. No one will really care for these cats and dogs because they are voiceless."
"You're not just handsome but you have a big heart for the stray. You will be blessed for having a good heart for them. Ganito dapat 'yung iniidolo na celebrity sa Pinas," an IG user added.
This is not the first time that Marco took the time to help a stray animal. Back in March, the actor rescued a wounded cat that he found on the streets of Makati.
