Song Hye-kyo and Lee Do-hyun to star in new K-drama by ‘Descendants of the Sun’ writer
Hye-kyo and Do-hyun together in one K-drama? The chemistry will surely be off the charts.
Now We Are Breaking Up actress Song Hye-kyo and Youth Of May actor Lee Do-hyun have been confirmed as the lead stars of the upcoming Netflix series, The Glory.
Korean actors Lim Ji-yeon, Yeom Hye-ran, Park Sung-hoon, and Jung Sung-il are also joining the cast, according to a report from Naver Entertainment.
The Glory revolves around a former school violence victim Moon Dong-eun (Song Hye-kyo) who’s determined to take revenge on the bullies “who destroyed her life.” Dong-eun gets appointed as the elementary homeroom teacher where she puts her plans for vengeance into action.
The K-drama’s screenplay will be written by Kim Eun-sook who’s known for her hit dramas Descendants of the Sun, Goblin, Secret Garden, Mr. Sunshine, and The Heirs, among others. It will be directed by Ahn Gil-ho, the creative behind Happiness, Record of Youth, and Memories of the Alhambra, among others.
Song Hye-kyo is known as one of the leading Hallyu stars who appeared in popular Korean series Descendants of the Sun, Full House, Autumn in my Heart, That Winter, The Wind Blows, Encounter, and more.
Lee Do-hyun is best known for his roles in Youth of May, 18 Again, and Hotel Del Luna.
