'Squid Game’ actor Lee Byung-hun and his wife Lee Min-jung welcome their 2nd child
Korean celebrity couple Lee Byung-hun and Lee Min-jung are now parents of two!
Byung-hun's management BH Entertainment shared the news with Korean outlets on December 21.
“Both the mother and the newborn baby are in good health and Lee (Byung-hun) is supporting his wife,” the agency said.
Currently, the actor is busy filming the second season of Netflix’s Squid Game, but his management said he took care of his wife before she gave birth.
Min-jung's agency MSteam Entertainment also confirmed this, adding that their newborn is a baby girl.
“Lee [Min-jung] gave birth to a daughter this afternoon. Both the mother and daughter are in good health, and all the family members are happy,” the announcement said.
The couple first announced their new pregnancy in August, with Byung-hun expressing his excitement over having a second baby during his acceptance speech for Best Actor at the 44th Blue Dragon Film Awards.
"My second child is due next month. We have been fondly calling her Birdie as a pre-birth nickname. I wish to dedicate this honor to my wife, son and Birdie, who will be watching from home,” the Squid Game actor said in November.
Byung-hun and Min-jung tied the knot in August 2013 and welcomed their firstborn in 2015.
