Sofia Andres on Daniel Miranda: ‘A ring on my finger shouldn’t define our love for each other’

By Brooke Villanueva Published Feb 21, 2023 5:18 pm

Sofia Andres opened up about the pressure of getting married and how she has learned to trust the timing of her life.

The actress recently took the time to express her gratitude for her significant other, race car driver Daniel Miranda and their daughter Zoe as she shared some of their family snaps on Instagram. “I’m happy with what God blessed me with. In fact, it’s a gift that I can’t take for granted. Our family is not perfect. Who said it’s gonna be easy, right?”

Addressing the pressure she feels from others about getting hitched, Sofia noted that she has come to the realization that it’s their “love story to write” and that they are in a chapter where they are learning to “be patient with each other, respect each other’s freedom, and overcome challenges.”

“It’s not an easy journey. There are tough times. There are good times. But it’s a beautiful time for us to grow with each other,” she wrote.

While the local star acknowledged that love is different for everyone, she stressed that a ring on her finger should not define theirs in any way. “It is about how we choose to respect, understand, and forgive each other. More of it, it’s the effort that we put into our relationship and the love we have for our daughter.”

Love, after all, goes beyond the flowers, surprises, and kilig. On top of the little things, it’s also a “choice to grow with each other despite the challenges.”

“At the end of the day, what matters the most is that we both have that love for each other to listen to our hearts and stay together. And that makes me feel so lucky to have someone who’d be willing to work it out with me,” she concluded.

Sofia and Daniel have been in a relationship since 2017. They introduced their first child to the public in 2020.
