After capping off his U.S. tours with Daryl Ong and Angeline Quinto on a high note, Pinoy balladeer Bugoy Drilon was treated to yet another memorable experience in his career; the singer recently shared that he has a surprise collaboration with '90s hit band The Moffatts.

Drilon first hinted at the collab with a photo of Clint and Bob Moffat, now known as Music Travel Love, on Instagram on Nov. 4. The trio are seen posing for a selfie on a beach. The Pinoy Dream Academy season 2 winner simply captioned his post, "Music Travel Love!💯"

While the 33-year-old singer-songwriter did not share the story behind the photo at that time, ABS-CBN News later reported that Drilon had teamed up with the duo for a new gig. He said it all began when he received a message from Music Travel Love.

"They happen to see and watch a video of mine on Facebook, so they asked me if I wanted to do a collab with them," Drilon said. "Then it turns out that I was touring and they were touring, and we would happen to be in Los Angeles at the same time, and that was it!"

The singer and the Canadian duo have yet to reveal the details of their recorded song which they produced in Los Angeles, California. In the meantime, Drilon recalled how working with the Moffat brothers was a dream come true for him.

"I was overwhelmed working with them. They were so down to earth, they actually treated me like I was their brother. They shared their experiences and gave me lots of advice during the shoot. Having grown up listening to their music and finally meeting and getting to work with them, I was in awe of their talent. Then to have them reciprocate that awe with my talent was amazing," Bugoy recalled.

Apart from their upcoming recording, Drilon was treated to another surprise when he was asked to grace the stage of Clint, Bob, and their triplet Dave's concert at the Alex Theater in LA on Nov. 4. They all performed the band's 1998 hit song If Life is So Short which Drilon personally requested to The Moffatts.

Bugoy captioned the post, "Music connects people! Idolize them since they’ve started. Most Genuine and nicest people I’ve ever met! They’ve treated me like one of their brothers the wisdom and the advice i get from them DEFINITELY one of the best experience! I am blessed and honored to share the stage with you guys see you soon!"

Earlier that day, Drilon concluded his US tour with Ong, titled "B.A.D. Boys of R&B," in Hollywood, California. He also concluded his "10Q" US Tour with Qunto in Houston last Oct. 27.

Drilon made his showbiz debut as the runner-up, or 2nd Star Dreamer, ABS-CBN's Pinoy Dream Academy season 2 back in 2008. The Pinoy balladeer is best known for his hit songs Paano Na Kaya, Dati, and Bakit Ba Ikaw, among others.
